60 Days. Heirloom from Italy. The earliest maturing pole bean variety. Superior quality 8" long, flat, Roma-type, stringless pods have remarkably sweet, unsurpassed flavor. Stay tender for long periods. Vines are listed as reaching 5' or more but we've had them reach closer to 15'. A few succession plantings will keep you in ample, fresh supply until frost. Pole beans are real space savers in the garden. A trellis is a must. Direct sow in Spring once the temperatures are above 50 degrees. Beans prefer nutrient rich soil, full to part sun, and average moisture. Excellent cooked beans, canned, and also freezes well.
