(Amelanchier utahensis) Perennial. A native, rounded deciduous shrub that features hairy, light-green leaves and blooms in late spring with elegant clusters of snowy white flowers. This vigorous shrub bears succulent and delightfully sweet purple-black berries which are perfect in jams and baked goods. Drought tolerant and thrives in rocky areas as it requires excellent drainage.

To Grow:
Cold stratification required. Sow outside in late fall or start indoors by placing seeds into a bag of moistened seed starting mix or wet paper towel and place it in the refrigerator for 60 days. Sow 1/4” deep and 3 seeds per pot. Keep soil moist until germination. Thin to strongest plant. Transplant after last frost when seedlings are strong enough to thrive.
