10+ Organically Grown Seeds — Jewish
This impressive red beefsteak comes with a bit of mystery and a lot of history. I (Terry) first grew Jewish many years ago in my Ohio garden. As the story goes, the original seed came from a tourist who brought it back from a market tomato in Israel and shared it through the Seed Savers Exchange yearbook. Whether or not that tale is exact, it’s part of the lore—and I tend to remember tomato stories like a library in my head.
After many years, this variety is finally back in rotation, and we couldn’t be happier. Jewish is a massive, old-fashioned red tomato—beautifully formed, meaty, and richly flavored with that classic heirloom freshness. Perfect for those who love the big red slicers of yesteryear.
